Nancy will discuss the many benefits of natural shorelines such as erosion control, wildlife habitat and protection of water quality.  Additionally, she will cover how to improve your existing shoreline and where you can get professional help.

Nancy Popa is the Shoreline Ambassador for the Lake Leelanau Lake Association.  In this role, Nancy provides education and consultation on maintaining and restoring natural shorelines.  Nancy has been interested in the natural sciences and protecting the environment for as long as she can remember.  Nancy is a native plant enthusiast, an avid gardener and grows many native plants from seed every year.  Nancy has a Master of Science degree in Environmental Management.
